The Oklahoma State Cowboys have landed a four-star guard for their 2025 recruiting class. Carlsheon Young of Oklahoma City is the first player to join Mike Boynton's 2025 class.

The 6-foot-4 combo guard is a top 100 player in his class according to the three major recruiting sites, as he held offers from TCU, Arizona State, Kansas, Oklahoma and many others.

The Cowboys offered Young in May of 2022, well over a year ago, but Young has continually visited Stillwater. Just this weekend, Young was in attendance as the Cowboys had an open practice and football game against Kansas State.

According to the Pistols Firing Blog, Oklahoma State and Boynton were the first to contact Young when his recruiting opened up. He's one of the earliest commits in his class, and the Cowboys will have quite some time to prepare for his arrival as a member of the 2025 class.

Recently, the Cowboys saw a 2024 commitment from Jeremiah Johnson. As the Cowboys gear up for what could be quite an impressive season with plenty of talent, recruiting remains solid and helps the Cowboys maintain a solid future.

With the importance of bringing in the top local talents, Young is the top player in Oklahoma for the class of 2025.
