The Oklahoma State Cowboys have been far from impressive to start the season. The roster has depth and plenty of talent, though their record doesn't reflect as such. At 3-5 through eight games, it would be easy to write this team off early in the season.

The Cowboys basketball program has a chance to recapture a sliver of momentum as they take on the Golden Hurricane in the Paycom Center. Again, the Cowboys desperately need a win to help them get back on track and find a bit of rhythm as a team.

Game Info:

Game time: 5:30 p.m. CT

Where: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, OK

Records: OSU (3-5), Tulsa (5-2)

Spread: Oklahoma State -6.5

TV Channel: ESPN2

This is quite a big game for the Cowboys. As 6.5-point favorites, they've got the opportunity to find some offensive rhythm. When they're able to score on a consistent basis and generate quality looks, they can be a tough team to beat.

Four of the Cowboys' losses have been brutal and should have been wins. Again, their inability to control the game on both ends -- primarily on offense -- has been a large issue. With Javon Small and Eric Dailey, two players who can be the engine of the offense, the Cowboys have to find a system that favors the team and builds rhythm while involving everyone.

On paper, the Golden Hurricane looks like the better team. They average more points, rebounds and steals than the Cowboys. The Golden Hurricane will be active in trying to score quickly and play faster while forcing turnovers and securing defensive stops on the boards.
