The Oklahoma State Cowboys have been on the struggle bus early in the basketball season. They're 3-5 with four losses that, in reality, could have been wins. Still, they were losses, and the season has been incredibly rocky because of it.

Offensively, the Cowboys have struggled to maintain a consistency or rhythm to allow them to put complete games together. With the amount of talent Oklahoma State has on the roster, it's a tough spot for the Cowboys to be in. They should be able to win these games.

Still, the Cowboys have yet to play a fully healthy game. Bryce Thompson has battled an injury early this season, and the Cowboys haven't seen production from Isaiah Miranda yet this season.

Miranda is set to make his season debut on Sunday against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. The 7-foot-1 NC State transfer is going to give the Cowboys a big lift this season, and his debut should show that.

Initially, Miranda was in the 2023 class. He reclassified to the 2022 class and committed to NC State for his freshman year. After never having seen the floor, Miranda packed things up and entered both the NBA Draft and the transfer portal.

Eventually, Miranda landed with the Cowboys. The former top-50 high school player now joins the team, which is 3-5, and has the ability to help turn things around.

Again, four of the Cowboys' losses could have realistically been wins. Miranda could help raise the team's ceiling as the team gets closer and closer to conference play. Turning things around quickly will be key, because conference play in the Big 12 is going to be incredibly tough.

Seeing how the Cowboys football program turned their season around, there's always a chance Miranda hitting the court helps the basketball program do something similar.
