Big 12 Football: All Pokes Staff Week 11 Big 12 ATS Picks
The Oklahoma State Cowboys -- in the driver's seat to make the Big 12 Conference Championship game -- are taking on the UCF Knights on the road. This is one of many important games across the conference this week.
Here are the Big 12 staff predictions against the spread for Week 11 of the college football season.
Oklahoma State (-2.5) vs. UCF
Nick Friesen: Until someone stops Oklahoma State's rushing attack, the Cowboys will be a force for the rest of the season. Look for Ollie Gordon to have another huge day. OSU -2.5
Ivan White: The Cowboys need to stay focused fresh off a Bedlam win. UCF sticks around early before OSU pulls away in the fourth quarter. OSU -2.5
Kade Kimble: With such a tight spread and the Cowboys on a current hot streak, it's hard to pick against them in this one. OSU -2.5
Texas Tech vs. Kansas (-3.5)
Nick: Kansas is going to cover this one easily. The Jayhawks the last two weeks, have looked like a team that could compete for a Big 12 Championship. Texas Tech looked good last week, but I don't trust them on defense this week. KU -3.5
Ivan: The Jayhawks’ hopes of a Big 12 title are slim but still alive. A win against Texas Tech will give them a boost into their final two games. KU -3.5
Kade: The Jayhawks have been incredible this season, and finishing strong is important as they continue turning the football program around, even if they don't make a Big 12 championship game. KU -3.5
Baylor vs Kansas State (-20.5)
Nick: Kansas State is going to cover this one. The Wildcats have virtually looked unbeatable since their loss to Oklahoma State. Will Howard has turned into a different quarterback, and he will have another big game this week. KSU -20.5
Ivan: Kansas State’s emotional letdown against Texas will carry into its matchup with Baylor. The Wildcats will still win, but it won’t be the blowout Vegas expects. Baylor +20.5
Kade: The Wildcats have been much improved as of late, but they're coming off a tough loss to Texas. They'll likely take this matchup as the much better team, but winning by three touchdowns or more will be tough. Baylor +20.5
West Virginia vs. Oklahoma (-12.5)
Nick: Oklahoma has two ways to go about the rest of the season. It can either give up, or it can run the table and hope someone slips up to make the conference championship. West Virginia comes in winners of its last two games. This game will be close, but Oklahoma will come through and get the victory. WVU +12.5
Ivan: The Sooners get back on track with a win over West Virginia. With a game back in Norman, OU will take out its frustrations from the past two weeks. OU -12.5
Kade: The Sooners have been on the struggle bus over their past three games and they need to re-capture momentum as they gear up for the SEC. They get back on track in this one and cover. OU -12.5
Cincinnati vs. Houston (-2.5)
Nick: Houston has been the more consistent team this season. Cincinnati has fallen apart, and it shows no signs of coming back to like. Houston will take this one. Houston -2.5
Ivan: Somehow, Dana Holgorsen’s team still has a chance to go bowling. The Cougars will get their third Big 12 win against Cincinnati. Houston -2.5
Kade: Cincinnati has proven to be the worst team in the Big 12, and Houston will capitalize on it with a win in this one. Houston -2.5
TCU vs. Texas (-10)
Nick: Texas is the more talented team. TCU hasn't found a rhythm this season, and Texas will make sure that doesn't start on Saturday. Texas -10
Ivan: The Longhorns have had close calls in recent weeks, but not this time. TCU can expect a similar result to its trip to Manhattan. Texas -10
Kade: This one could be a test for the longhorns, but with Quinn Ewers returning, Texas will come away with a statement win over TCU. Texas -10
Iowa State (-7) vs. BYU
Nick: Night games in Provo, Utah are dangerous for any team. Iowa State is trying to bounce back after last week's devastating loss to Kansas. The crowd will play a huge factor in this one. BYU has shown that it can be a good football team. They will feed off the crowd and take the victory. BYU +7
Ivan: BYU and Iowa State are equally unpredictable. But there’s a reason the Cyclones were tied at the top of the conference going into last week. Iowa State -7
Kade: Iowa State is headed to a tough environment, but they'll continue and impress as they come away with a victory in Provo while covering. Iowa State -7
