The Big 12 is moving its football media days for the next two seasons. In the 2024 and 2025 college football seasons, the media days will be held in Las Vegas due to conflicts in scheduling for the AT&T Center in Arlington, Texas -- it's usual home.

According to Action Network's Brett McMurphy, the host sites being considered are the Sphere, Allegiant Stadium or an MGM property. This move also comes in a season in which the Big 12 officially enters a new era.

With the 2024 college football season rolling around, Oklahoma and Texas will depart to the SEC -- a conference that will be holding its media day in Dallas in 2024. As those two programs leave the conference, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah will be joining the Big 12.

This past season, UCF, Houston, BYU and Cincinnati joined the conference for the first season. The new era is officially underway.

As the move will only take place for the next two seasons, it'll be curious to see if the Big 12 makes the move permanent, finds a new location or returns to AT&T Center for the 2026 football season and beyond.

For the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the new-look Big 12 is a huge opportunity. With the new teams coming in and two of the top teams leaving in Texas and Oklahoma, the top of the conference will be even more open.

The Big 12 has always been a conference full of parity, and those programs leaving only adds to that. With the Cowboys having been one of the most consistent teams, not just in the Big 12, but in all of college football, over the past two decades, they'll likely be among the top teams in the conference consistently.

The Cowboys will have their eyes set on a second Big 12 Championship win moving into the new era, with their lone conference championship win coming in 2011.
