Big 12 Set to Release 2024 Football Conference Schedule on Tuesday
We already know the opponents Oklahoma State will face in the Big 12 Conference next season; now we get the dates and times.
The Big 12 is set to release its conference schedule on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., marking the start of a new era in the conference.
Dates and Times are being announced, but OSU already has an idea of who they will be battling next season.
The Cowboys play nine conference games next season, including battling three of the four new teams joining the Big 12 in 2024.
One of those new teams Oklahoma State will face is Colorado, which is set to take place at Folsom Field in Boulder, CO.
With Colorado comes stars all over the field, including head coach Deion Sanders. Sanders led the Buffaloes to a 4-8 record last season after going 1-11 in the 2022 season.
Another new but familiar test will be Arizona State, who OSU has played the last two seasons. In 2022, the Cowboys came out on top with a 34-17 victory behind Spencer Sanders 268 yards and 2 touchdowns.
In 2023, OSU escaped Tempe, AZ with a 27-15 win over the Sun Devils behind the trio at quarterback as Alan Bowman, Garret Rangel and Gunnar Gundy combined for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
The final new Big 12 team OSU will battle this season will be a big-time showdown against Utah at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Utah comes into the conference after being a staple in the Pac-12 Conference, winning the conference championship in two of the past three seasons.
It will also be a battle between two of the longest-tenured coaches in college football today, for Oklahoma State's head coach Mike Gundy and Utah's head coach Kyle Whittingham have both coached at their respective programs for 19 seasons.
Before facing conference opponents, Oklahoma State has to get through its non-conference schedule, and that starts with its season opener on August 31 when the Cowboys take on South Dakota State at Boone Pickens Stadium.
