Big 12: Week 8 Big 12 Football Roundup
Oklahoma State takes on West Virginia in what could be a huge matchup for the Cowboys on Saturday. There are five other Big 12 matchups across the league, all being played on Saturday.
Here's an update for each Big 12 matchup in Week 8 of college football.
Oklahoma 31, UCF 29: OU takes down UCF in a tightly contested battle, winning 31-23. The Sooners were down in the fourth, but ultimately closed out a game that they might've lost a year ago.
Baylor 32, Cincinnati 29: It wasn't an easy win for the Bears, but they ultimately held on despite a crucial fourth-quarter push by Cincinnati. The Big 12 newcomers continue to struggle as the Bears are now 2-2 in conference play.
Oklahoma State 48, West Virginia 34: Another huge game from Ollie Gordon combined with late-game execution and a high-scoring fourth quarter helped the Cowboys upset the Mountaineers in Morgantown.
Texas 31, Houston 24: Houston carried momentum into this game from their win over West Virginia then gave No. 8 Texas their best shot, similar to UCF and OU. Texas ultimately pulled it out with a late, game-winning drive.
BYU 27, Texas Tech 14: An early start helped BYU set themselves up to cruise to a victory in the second half, giving the Big 12 newcomers a bit of a boost after another one beat a legacy conference team.
Kansas State 41, TCU 3: Kansas State quite literally ran all over TCU, racking up 353 rushing yards on 53 carries, though they completed most drives in the air. They routed TCU in the dominated victory in the Big 12 Championship rematch from a season ago.
