Oklahoma State University's newest Hall of Honor class includes Lauren Bay (softball), David Edwards (men's golf), Ross Flood (wrestling), Charles Howell III (golf), James Wadley (tennis), Dave Perry, John Perry, Jim Metcalf and Tom Von Ruden (track, relay) and Brandon Weeden (football).

The list of candidates – which had 50 eligible members – was then shipped to a selection committee of members not employed by Oklahoma State.

Of the names in the new class, Weeden is arguably the most recognizable. He played four seasons at Oklahoma State, though he was only the starter for his final two seasons – the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Before playing quarterback for OSU, Weeden played professional baseball. He then enrolled in Stillwater for what would be a legendary football career. The Cowboy earned the starting quarterback job in 2010, where he threw for 4,277 passing yards, 34 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He led the Cowboys to a 11-2 record and an Alamo Victory. This was Oklahoma State’s first 11-win season in program history.

While Weeden led Oklahoma State to a program-high win total in his first season as a starter, he did even better in his final season under center. The Oklahoma State legend then posted 4,727 passing yards, 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions while leading the Cowboys to a 12-1 record, narrowly missing the National Championship game. Oklahoma State finished the season ranked No. 3 in the AP Poll, which remains the programs highest-ranked finish.

With a 23-3 record in his two seasons as a starter and two bowl victories, Weeden was then selected as a first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
