Oklahoma State's depth chart for Iowa State
Oklahoma State enters this game with a 4-3 overall record on the season and a 1-3 conference record. They're recently coming off a 45-27 loss to Baylor in Stillwater for Homecoming and are looking to get back in the win column.
Despite the offensive woes the past few games, Oklahoma State checks in with the No. 8 total offense in the country as they're putting up 519.9 yards per game, and the No. 16 scoring offense with 38 points per game.
The Cowboys are led by redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Sanders who, through seven games, has thrown for 1,490 yards and 11 touchdowns. The only downside is that he's also thrown nine interceptions.
Behind Sanders in the backfield is Heisman candidate running back Chuba Hubbard. Hubbard has been absolutely electric in his first year as the starting running back as he's totaled 1,265 yards, which leads the nation, and the second place back, by 297 yards. He's also tied for the lead with rushing touchdowns, 15.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Cowboys are led by linebackers Malcolm Rodriguez and Amen Ogbongbemiga.
Rodriguez leads the Pokes in tackles with 55 total, 32 of which have been solo stops. He's also recorded two pass break ups, two quarterback hurries and he's forced and recovered one fumble.
As for Ogbongbemiga, he's recorded 52 total tackles, 34 of which have been solo stops. He's recorded 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 of which were sacks, and he's recorded one quarterback hurry as well.
Those two guys, as well as the rest of the defense will have to step their game up as they're going up against one of the best quarterbacks in the conference: Brock Purdy.
Through seven games, Purdy has thrown for 2,185 yards and 14 touchdowns to just four interceptions.
