Oklahoma State's depth chart for TCU
Not only does Oklahoma State enter this game riding an upset of a ranked team, but so is TCU. The Horned Frogs are fresh off a 37-27 upset of No. 15 Texas, moving to 4-3 on the season and 2-2 in Big 12 play.
TCU enters this contest with one of the best defenses in the country, and certainly the best defense that Oklahoma State has, or will face all season.
They're ranked No. 18 in the FBS in total defense allowing just 304.7 yards of offense per game, No. 19 in team passing efficiency defense and they're No. 15 in rushing defense as they allow just 103. 7 rushing yards per game.
"We are looking forward to the next one where we are playing probably the best defense we've see all year. They are really good on defense solid up front. Maybe the best front six that I can remember them having. I think they have NFL players in the secondary. This will be a real challenge for our team but we are excited and looking forward to it. Their offense has been playing better. Their quarterback has been playing better with a little more experience. Obviously, we need to know where Jalen Reagor is, he is a difference-maker and a really special talent. Looking forward to the week and looking forward to playing on Saturday afternoon."
Defensively, linebacker Garret Wallow leads TCU with 72 total tackles, 43 of which have been solo stops. He's also recorded 11.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 of which have been sacks, including one interception and two quarterback hurries.
On the defensive line, they're led by defensive tackle Ross Blacklock. He missed all of last season with an injury, but he was a freshman All-American and Big 12 Co-Defensive Freshman of the Year. Through seven games this year, he's nearly eclipsed his freshman tackle total of 27. He's totaled 22 tackles, 15 of which have been solo stops, with 7.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 of which have been sacks and one quarterback hurry.
Offensively, TCU is led by freshman quarterback Max Duggan out of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Through seven games, he's completed 99 of 169 passes for 1,147 yards and 11 touchdowns with just one interception. He's also carried the ball 62 times for 233 yards and three touchdowns.
