Oklahoma State Football Star WR Enters Transfer Portal
The Oklahoma State Cowboys' battle with the transfer portal has been much easier this year compared to last year. This time last year, they had lost plenty of starters and valuable players. This year, they're having much better luck at retaining talent, as four starting offensive lineman have re-affirmed their commitment to the program and return for next season.
This isn't the case for every contributor, though, as the Cowboys recently lost a wide receiver in the transfer portal, according to McClain Baxley of 247Sports. Jaden Bray, who appeared in ten games this season, entered the transfer portal.
Of all the transfers out of Oklahoma State this season, this one might be the most impactful. He played his freshman season in 2021, scoring 250 yards on 13 receptions and two touchdowns. He dealt with injury in 2022, which led to him becoming a key receiver for the team in 2023.

This season, Bray put up 382 receiving yards on 30 receptions. He was a reliable target for Alan Bowman. His impact was felt a little less towards the end of the season, but he was a consistent four to five catches per game player to begin the season.
Bray's move to the transfer portal makes six Oklahoma State players entering the portal. Again, he's likely the most impactful player to announce their departure. The wide receiver room might have a fresh look for the Cowboys next season, considering Leon Johnson burned his eligibility this season and Brennan Presley might not return.
Talent was never an issue for Bray, but dealing with injury certainly didn't help him during his time in Stillwater. Assuming he can get healthy on a consistent basis, he's going to provide a big impact for whatever team lands him out of the portal.
Something to keep an eye out for is how aggressive the Cowboys are in recruiting out of the portal on top of retaining as much talent as possible.
