This marks the Cowboys first time being ranked this season and it comes following not only a great team win over a ranked Kansas state team, but after a solid start to the season.
We all know that they Pokes fell to Texas last week 36-30, but they held a really good Texas team to 36 points which is no easy task and they did so in front of a sold out crowd.
They also had great performances against Oregon State and McNeese, as well as showed their perseverance against a tough Tulsa defense for a come from behind win.
Oklahoma State also received votes in the Football Writers Association of America's Super 16 Poll earlier Sunday Morning.
It will be interesting to see where Oklahoma State measures up in the eyes of the AP voters as that poll is released at 1 p.m. CT.
