Ollie Gordon continued his impressive stretch of games as he carried Oklahoma State’s offense in an important road win.

OSU beat West Virginia 48-34 for its third straight conference win. Gordon had his fourth straight 100+ yard rushing game but went well past that mark as he ran for 282 yards and four touchdowns.

After Kendal Daniels forced a turnover on downs near midfield, Gordon attempted to put the game away. On the first play of the Cowboys’ drive, Gordon took a handoff and ran 46 yards into the end zone to push the lead to 14.

WVU scored fast to make it a one-possession game, but Gordon was not done yet. Gordon put the game away this time with a 53-yard touchdown run, his third trip to the end zone in the fourth quarter.

With less than nine minutes left, a facemask and a late hit on a Gordon run set up the Cowboys’ offense with an additional 30 yards. The Cowboys turned that into a touchdown a few plays later as Brennan Presley caught the ball in the backfield and ran 29 yards into the end zone to take a seven-point lead.

Earlier in the fourth quarter, a WVU player ran into his return man, Preston Fox, on an OSU punt, leading to a turnover. Gordon cashed in on that turnover a few plays later with a 16-yard touchdown to give OSU a three-point lead.

Midway through the third quarter, Alan Bowman floated a ball deep downfield to Rashod Owens, but WVU’s Anthony Wilson intercepted the pass. WVU took over at its 4-yard line, but the OSU defense forced a three-and-out.

With the offense starting near midfield after a punt, the Cowboys regained the lead. On second-and-goal, Bowman hit Jaden Bray on a slant for a five-yard touchdown.

Garrett Greene connected with EJ Horton on the ensuing drive for a 32-yard touchdown. Greene’s second touchdown pass helped the Mountaineers take a 24-20 lead into the fourth quarter.

Although it was Daniels and Korie Black with takeaways, Nick Martin had another dominant day. Martin finished as the Cowboys’ leader in tackles with 17, followed by Daniels with 11.

OSU continued to show positive signs against WVU as it heads into homecoming against Cincinnati, riding a three-game winning streak.
