LOS ANGELES —Ticketmaster, the global leader in ticketing, today announced its expanded official ticketing partnership with Oklahoma State University Athletics, adding the university’s resale ticketing marketplace to their longstanding primary ticketing partnership. Under this renewed agreement, fans will now be able to discover, buy, sell and transfer tickets for more than 130 Oklahoma State University sporting events every year via an integrated marketplace that provides the easiest ticketing buying experience and most inventory available via Ticketmaster.com and the Ticketmaster app.
Starting in 2020, Oklahoma State University will utilize Ticketmaster Presence™, the next generation digital ticketing and venue access control platform that delivers quicker venue entry at the gate, streamlined venue operations, and a personalized experience for fans.
Oklahoma State University will also implement Presence’s latest enhancement, SafeTix™, which ties a unique, identifiable digital ticket to each fan’s mobile phone. SafeTix uses NFC tap and go technology utilizing Apple Wallet, Google Pay and rotating barcodes that refresh every 15 seconds, preventing the unscrupulous replication and sale of fake tickets.
“We can’t imagine a better partner for Oklahoma State Athletics than Ticketmaster, who’s spent the past 15 years providing our fans with the easiest and safest experience to discover and purchase OSU sporting event tickets,” said Jesse Martin, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Oklahoma State University. “We’re excited to extend our partnership to include resale, with Ticketmaster now serving as the Official Ticket Marketplace for Oklahoma State Athletics. Starting today, our fans can find all tickets for OSU sporting events easier than ever from a single, secure platform that guarantees the ticket they buy is real.”
Ticketmaster’s digital ticketing technology will provide Oklahoma State University with the data needed to identify new fans and potential donors, as well as additional insights into the ticket lifecycle, providing visibility into both who bought the ticket and who attended the event.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of OSU’s commitment to excellence in the live college sports experience, with the expansion of Ticketmaster’s longstanding partnership bringing the latest in digital ticketing and venue technology to the University in 2020,” said Tim Martin, SVP and GM of College Sports for Ticketmaster North America. “Oklahoma State University has continuously proven themselves to be a forward-thinking institution that always puts their fans first.”
In addition to the renewal of the partnership between Oklahoma State and Ticketmaster, it was announced today that OSU men’s basketball season ticket holders will be able to take advantage of the resale program starting Oct. 14. Season ticket holders can sell their tickets on Ticketmaster.com for games they aren’t attending in an effort to fill their seats and recoup some of their season ticket cost. Tickets sold on resale allow the season ticket holder to receive an account credit to be put toward tickets through Oklahoma State or they may receive an immediate refund on a credit card of their choice.
OSU is a member of the Big 12 Conference and has 52 NCAA team national titles, the fourth most for the NCAA, including titles in wrestling, golf, basketball, cross country and baseball.
