OSU Football Lands Commitment From 2025 Three-Star Offensive Tackle
On Friday, Oklahoma State secured its second commitment to its 2025 recruiting class. Before that, local athlete Matrail Lopez -- three-star from Idabel, OK -- was the only member of the class for the Cowboys. Now, he's joined by a three-star offensive lineman out of Texas.
Jaylan Beckley from Addison, TX, is a three-star offensive tackle (247Sports). He announced his commitment to Oklahoma State as the Cowboys beat out many notable programs in the recruiting battle.
"God has been so incredibly good to me and my family. This road hasn't been easy, but it's been filled with so much reward and so many good memories. I'm extremely grateful for my relationship with Coach Dickey and the faith he's had in me. Coach Gundy, Coach Allen, and all of the staff at OSU make me feel at home. With that being said, I would like to announce my commitment to Oklahoma State University," Beckley wrote on social media Friday.
Beckley has a scheduled official visit to Stillwater on April 26. The Cowboys officially offered the offensive tackle on June 17, just days after Oklahoma offered. He was originally committed to the Clemson Tigers, which stayed that way for a month before decommitting from the program.
Oklahoma State landed his commitment over programs like Oklahoma, Florida State, Auburn, LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia and many others. This is a huge landing for Gundy to add a second player to its 2025 class.
The offensive line is a position that played a heavy role in the Cowboys' season just last year. They helped Ollie Gordon lead the nation in rushing yards while consistently protecting Alan Bowman, allowing very few sacks on the season. At 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, Beckley is going to be a huge addition.
