The 2024 college football season is going to pose plenty of opportunity across the entire sport. The Pac-12 programs that are leaving the now-dead conference have the opportunity to establish themselves in their new respective conferences. Oklahoma and Texas have plenty to prove in their first season in the SEC. For Oklahoma State, there is a glaring opportunity to prove why they should continually be near the top of the new-look Big 12.

With the opportunity, though, there is pressure for some programs or certain staffers. 247Sports' Cody Nagel listed ten different coordinators facing pressure in the 2024 college football season.

Among those coordinators listed? Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn, who is in his fourth year in the role.

"Kasey Dunn is the longest-tenured assistant coach on the Mike Gundy staff at Oklahoma State. After nine years as the wide receivers coach, Dunn added the role of offensive coordinator in 2020," Nigel wrote. "Since then, the Pokes have finished no higher than fifth in the Big 12 for scoring offense. Oklahoma State was among the top four in the conference for eight of the 10 prior seasons."

Even in the Cowboys' biggest wins last season, plenty of it was due to the resiliency and figuring things out in the second half on both sides of the ball. Simply outscoring opponents and putting them away early wasn't something the Cowboys' offense did -- the same offense that featured the premier running back in the nation.

"The Cowboys return almost their entire group of offensive starters from last season, including Doak Walker Award winner Ollie Gordon, seventh-year senior quarterback Alan Bowman and all five offensive linemen. There are reasons for Oklahoma State to have one of the top offenses in the Big 12 in 2024," Nagel wrote.

Dunn has every tool and weapon he needs for Oklahoma State to have an incredible season. Not only is it a veteran offense, but it's a veteran offense with experience playing together under Dunn's system. There's no excuse for Oklahoma State not to be competing for a Big 12 title game appearance late in the season, and the reason for not being in that position certainly shouldn't be the offense.
