STILLWATER -- The rumor mill was full to the brim yesterday with Tylan Wallace injury reports. Well, unfortunately, Scott Wright of The Oklahoman has been able to confirm the rumors and Tylan Wallace will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

The injury occurred during a non-contact situation at practice on Wednesday and he underwent an MRI on Thursday that didn't fully reveal the extent of his injuries. A further exam on Friday morning though confirmed that he had torn his ACL.

Wallace is in his third year at Oklahoma State and is eligible for the NFL Draft in the spring should he decide to leave. However, he still has a redshirt available and would be eligible to return next should if he wanted to.

Through eight games this season, Wallace has recorded 903 yards, which leads the Big 12, and also has eight touchdowns. He's also leading the Big 12 in receiving yards per game, while checking in at No. 2 in receiving touchdowns and receptions per game. He's also in the top 10 nationally in both receiving yards (No. 4) and receiving yards per game (No. 7).

Wallace finished last season as a first-team All-America selection by ESPN and The Sporting News and was a second-team All-America selection by Sports Illustrated, Walter Camp, the Associated Press and USA Today.

He was also one of three Biletnikoff Finalists, finishing behind Alabama's Jerry Jeudy, and was undoubtedly on tract to finish as one of the top receivers in the country once again.

Oklahoma State is set to face TCU this Saturday in Stillwater at Boone Pickens Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
