The All-Big 12 Honors were announced on Wednesday, and Oklahoma State's Ollie Gordon collected the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

He is the first OSU player to secure that since Chubba Hubbard in 2019. It is also the fourth time in five seasons that a running back has won this award in the conference.

Gordon has put up amazing numbers this season. He leads the nation in rushing yards, with 1,580 yards, including eight games with over 100 rushing yards this season.

The sophomore running back racked up the touchdowns as well, for he had 20 rushing touchdowns on the season, including five touchdowns last week against BYU.

The Cowboys started out 2-2 this season, with Gordon getting only 30 carries in those four games, including only three in the loss to South Alabama.

After that, Gordon and the Cowboys went on a run. OSU recorded five straight wins, and Gordon was a big part of that. He had six straight games with over 100 rushing yards, including three straight with over 150 yards.

He wasn't the only Oklahoma State player to get some love on Wednesday. Gordon also joined Nick Martin on the All-Big 12 First Team, who was a force at linebacker this season for the Cowboys. Brennan Presley, Alex Hale and Colin Oliver made the All-Big 12 Second Team.

Mike Gundy also came away with some praise as he was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year.

Gundy has said all season that after the South Alabama game, they switched up the schemes and concepts on offense and relied heavily on Gordon, and it paid off, landing the Cowboys in the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday.

With the way this season started for the Cowboys, these people deserve these honors, especially Gordon.

Gordon and the Cowboys will take on the Texas Longhorns on Saturday at 11 a.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The game can be seen on ABC.
