Pro Pokes: NFL Playoffs Preview
Now that college football season is over for Oklahoma State, it’s now time to check out the NFL playoffs.
There are a ton of good matchups this postseason, including several former Cowboys taking part in it as well.
We all know about Mason Rudolph and his start for the Steelers against the Buffalo Bills this weekend, but who are some other Cowboys that will be participating in the NFL Wild Card and the playoffs?
Jaylen Warren: Pittsburgh Steelers RB
What a turnaround it was for the Pittsburgh Steelers these last few games. Rudolph has been the catalyst on offense, but Warren has been a bright spot as well.
The second-year veteran collected 784 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in the regular season, including 6.1 average yards per carry.
Warren is a part of a two-headed monster in the position group with Najee Harris, who is the other top back in the offense.
Harris will get his fair share of carries, but Warren is a change of pace that the Steelers could rely on in these playoffs.
The Steelers take on the Bills on Sunday at 12 p.m. at Buffalo.
Tyreek Hill: Miami Dolphins WR
The man speaks for himself.
Hill has had a huge season for the Dolphins, but the storyline on Saturday at 7 p.m. will be even bigger.
Hill and the Dolphins will be heading to Kansas City to square off against the Chiefs, who Hill played for his first six seasons.
Ever since landing in Miami, Hill has been a star, especially this season. He racked up 1,799 receiving yards and 13 receiving touchdowns in the regular season, Which or both tops in the league this season.
The weather will be a factor as wind chills are projected to get to -30 degrees. If the passing game isn’t working, Hill will have to play a factor in the Dolphin’s running attack for them to have a chance to win.
Justice Hill and Tylan Wallace: Baltimore Ravens RB and WR
J. Hill and Wallace weren’t productive in the regular season, but both could be used in some capacity in the playoffs, especially in special teams.
In Week 16, Wallace sent M&T Bank Stadium into a frenzy when he ran a punt back 76 yards for a game-winning touchdown in overtime to give Baltimore a win over the Los Angeles Rams.
J. Hill was a major part of that play, providing the key block and helping Wallace get into the endzone.
J. Hill has been a solid backup at the running back spot for the Ravens, collecting over 300 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in the regular season. The two haven’t done much, but when they have, it has led to good times in Baltimore.
The Ravens will play the waiting game this weekend, for it received a first-round bye when it secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC side of the playoffs.
