After scoring the lone run of the contest in the first inning, OSU scored seven runs in the final two innings of the game, en route to a 8-0 victory over Cal State Northridge in five innings.

Freshman Katie Kutz come on in the third, and she faced adversity right off the bat.

Tallen Edwards came through, fielding a Whatman ground ball and throwing Landeros out at home, helping Kutz and keeping the Cowgirls up 1-0.
Edwards would get the next out, firing a ground ball over to Godwin at first, ending the inning for the Matadors.
Kutz would give up zero runs on two hits in two innings pitched.
Ivy Rosenberry would shut the door in the fifth, giving up zero runs and zero hits in one inning pitched.
Karli Godwin would secure the first RBI of her career, hitting a liner into center field, scoring Edwards and putting OSU up 1-0 in the first.
The Cowgirls would add to their lead in the fourth as Megan Bloodworth hit a shot up the middle. Landeros couldn't field it cleanly, allowing Poullard to score and increasing OSU's lead to 2-0.
Schneidmiller's triple blew the game wide open, collecting three RBIs and making it 7-0 OSU in the fifth inning.
Hayden Sokoloski would come in to pinch hit, and she would deliver, hitting a sacrifice fly, scoring Schneidmiller and securing the run-rule victory over CSUN.
