Oklahoma State looked like a completely different team in the fifth-seventh innings.

After the Cowgirls were up 4-0 through the first four innings, Georgia scored seven unanswered runs in the last three innings, securing the 7-4 victory on Friday at the Clearwater Invitational.

Georgia moves to 7-0 on the season, while Oklahoma State falls to 5-1 on the season.

Errors were the thorn in OSU's side, especially in the fifth inning. Tallen Edwards and Kyra Aycock both committed errors in the fifth, resulting in four unearned runs for the Bulldogs.

Lexi Kilfoyl would come in to help save the day, but pinch hitter Lyndi Rae Davis would make her pay, hitting a three-run home run to tie the game in the fifth.

It was the same story in the sixth inning as three Bulldogs would secure RBIs in the inning, sealing any hope OSU had in making a comeback in this game.

Aycock would get the start in the circle, giving up three runs on two hits with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings pitched.

Kilfoyl's day was much different, giving up four runs on five hits with two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings of work.

Caroline Wang got things going in the first inning, ripping a RBI-double down the right field line, scoring Claire Timm and putting OSU up 1-0

In the second inning, Georgia would secure two outs quickly. Micaela Wark would hit a ground ball, but second baseman Sydney Kuma would mishandle it, allowing Wark to reach base. That mishap would cause more damage in the inning.

After Wark reached base, Megan Bloodworth would make Kuma pay, smashing a two-run bomb over the left field wall, increasing the Cowgirl lead to 3-0.

Tallen Edwards would keep it going, hitting a single, setting up another scoring opportunity for the Cowgirls.

After Edwards safely stole second, Timm would bring her home, hitting an RBI-triple down the left field line, allowing Edwards to cross home plate and make it 4-0.

Nothing happened in the next two innings, but Georgia did its major damage in the fifth inning.

Jaiden Fields would start the inning with a leadoff double. She would advance to third after an Aycock wild pitch.

Georgia's Marisa Miller would hit a shot to Edwards, but she would mishandle the ball, allowing Miller to reach first and setting up a first and third situation with nobody out for the Bulldogs.

Dallis Goodnight would come up and hit a ground ball right back to the circle, but Aycock would commit an error trying to get Fields at home, throwing it away and letting Georgia cut the lead to 4-1.

Davis would save the day for Georgia, hitting a screamer over the right field wall, securing the three-run shot and tying the game at 4-4.

Georgia would keep it rolling in the sixth.

After Kuma started the inning with a leadoff double, Fields would switch places with her, hitting an RBI-double and making it 5-4.

Emily Digby would get in on the act, hitting a shot into right field, scoring pinch runner Hayley Eaton and increasing the lead to 6-4.

The Bulldogs would add one more run to end the sixth after Goodnight would hit an RBI-double to score Digby and put Georgia up 7-4.

OSU would do nothing in the final two innings on offense, losing its opening contest at the Clearwater Invitational.

The Cowgirls still have one more today, and it will come at 2:30 p.m. against Wisconsin. The contest will be streamed on ESPN+.
