Jilyen Poullard was the hero on Wednesday.

Her lone hit of the night, which was a three-run home run in the sixth inning, was the dagger in Stetson’s hearts as Oklahoma State took home the 11-6 victory on Wednesday at Patricia Wilson Field.

With the win, OSU moves to 8-2 on the season, while Stetson falls to 2-8 on the season.

OSU’s offense wasn’t quiet in the first five innings, it just wasn’t capitalizing on opportunities. The Cowgirls had three runs on five hits in the first five innings, including Rosie Davis hitting her second home run of the season in the second.

It was the sixth inning where OSU looked like a different team, scoring six runs on five hits, including home run’s from Poullard and Micaela Wark.

Kyra Aycock got the start on Wednesday, and she struggled, especially in the first inning. She gave up six runs, including four runs in the first, with eight hits and three strikeouts in two innings pitched.

Ivy Rosenberry came in the third inning, and she tamed Stetson. She finished the game giving up zero runs on three hits with nine strikeouts in five innings of work.

Stetson got out in front early in the first inning. After OSU went out in front 1-0, Kami Eppley made sure that didn’t last long, launching a ball over the left field wall and putting Stetson up 2-1 in the first.

Haley Fox would keep it going, hitting a shot up the middle for a 2-RBI single, scoring Madelyn Synoracki and increasing the lead to 4-1.

Davis’ home run in the second would cut the lead to 4-2, but Stetson would get it right back as Eppley would reach on a fielder's choice after Davis committed a throwing error, allowing Addison Foster to score and make it 5-2 in the second.

Lath Freeman kept it going, hitting an RBI-single up the middle, scoring Eppley and putting Stetson up 6-2.

Tallen Edwards would make a dent in that lead, bombing it over the wall and making it 6-3 in the third inning.

Both teams would stay quiet in the next three innings, but OSU came alive in the sixth inning.

Claire Timm got things going, hitting a single right into center field. Karli Godwin would hit a double, setting up runners on second and third with nobody out.

Caroline Wang would hit a long fly ball that was caught, but it allowed Timm to score from third to make it 6-4.

Wark came up after that and made it a brand new ball game, hitting a two-run home run and tying the game at 6-6.

Audrey Schneidmiller and Sophie Page would continue the sixth, getting on base and putting runners on first and second with two away, and Poullard would clear them.

The transfer would come through, launching the go-ahead three-run home run and putting OSU up 9-6 late in the sixth inning.

Oklahoma State would score two more in the seventh, and Rosenberry would finish off Stetson, en route to the victory.

OSU is back in action on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., taking on Washington and USF in Tampa, Florida.
