The Ole Miss Rebels picked up a win in their conference opener on Friday night over the No. 20 South Carolina Gamecocks, and they will look to claim the series on Saturday.

Friday's game came down to the wire, but Ole Miss was able to claim a 5-4 win to push its winning streak to eight games, and the Rebels have now won 12 of their last 13. Mike Bianco's squad will trot out LHP Liam Doyle to start Saturday's game on the hill with hopes of claiming a series win to open SEC play.

Liam Doyle issues a one-out walk, and his day is done as he receives a standing ovation at Swayze Field. Wes Mendes now on the hill for Ole Miss.

Mendes allows a single, but he then claims back-to-back outs to end the frame and keep Carolina off the board.
