Rebels fans are eager to see their school defend its national championship.

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss Rebels baseball is less than a week away, but students on campus were prepared for first pitch long before the games begin.

The Rebels always allow students to secure their spot in the student section in right field about a week before the first game. Even with that timeline, these fans camped outside of the stadium for days to prepare to secure their favorite spot.

The hype surrounding the upcoming Ole Miss baseball season has been paired with high expectations from poll publications around the country, the majority of which have the Rebels inside the top 10.

This comes on the heels of the program securing its first national championship in school history a season ago, and despite having to replace some key talent, the team appears poised to make another strong run in 2023.

The Rebels will open their season on Friday at 4 p.m. CT when they play host to the Delaware Blue Hens in Oxford.
