OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels will open their baseball season at home on Friday, and the opening weekend series of the season features a last round of festivities celebrating the 2022 national championship run.

The Rebels are playing host to the Delaware Blue Hens in Oxford, and they have a host of activities planned during the course of the weekend. Beginning on Friday, Ole Miss plans to reveal national championship signage on the outfield wall, and the first 1,000 fans who arrive at the stadium will receive a mini replica national championship trophy.

Former Rebel first baseman and captain Tim Elko, a mainstay on last season's championship team, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Friday's game as well.

On Saturday, the first 1,000 fans will receive a national championship t-shirt, and Sunday's game will feature an Ole Miss baseball koozie for the first 1,000 fans.

The Rebels enter the 2023 season ranked in the top 10 of most national polls, coming in at No. 4 in D1Baseball's preseason rankings.

First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT, and Saturday and Sunday's games will begin at noon. All three games will be televised on SEC Network+.
