LIVE UPDATES: Rebels Looking For St. Patrick's Day Sweep vs. No. 20 South Carolina

The Ole Miss Rebels are set to host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday afternoon with hopes of securing their first SEC series sweep of the season.

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels are set to host the No. 20 South Carolina Gamecocks at Swayze Field on Sunday afternoon, and they will be looking to close out the weekend with a sweep in their first SEC series of the season.

Ole Miss pulled off a comeback victory on Friday night, while third baseman Andrew Fischer and LHP Liam Doyle dominated on Saturday to help the Rebels cruise to a 12-3 win over the Gamecocks. Fischer mashed three homers and racked up five RBIs, while his roommate, Doyle, recorded double-digit strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work.

Sophomore RHP Grayson Saunier will be making his fifth start of the season on Sunday afternoon, and currently holds a 2.55 ERA and a 3-1 record in 17.2 innings pitched. Follow along below for live updates from Swayze Field, first pitch is set for 1:30 p.m. CT.

The Rebels will be wearing their traditional powder blue uniforms on Sunday, but there is an added twist. With it being St. Patrick's Day, the Rebels want the luck of the Irish on their side, and therefore will be donning green lids with the traditional block 'M.'

The Gamecocks will be wearing gray pants paired with a black jersey and matching hat.

FIRST INNING

South Carolina's first batter reaches first following a single up the middle, but Grayson Saunier strikes out the next man up to start his day. Ethan Groff makes a running snag in center field for the second out of the inning, and the frame ends with a pop fly in the infield.

MID 1: Ole Miss 0, South Carolina 0

Groff gets his afternoon started with a groundout, and Andrew Fischer follows that up with a pop fly to third base. Jackson is the first Rebel to reach first after drawing a five-pitch walk. Ethan Lege makes it to first after also drawing a walk, putting a runner in scoring position for Ole Miss.

Treyson Hughes strikes out swinging, however, and the inning ends with no runs scored.

SECOND INNING

South Carolina puts a runner on first with a single, and then rips a two-run bomb to take an early lead over Ole Miss. It is now South Carolina 2, Ole Miss 0.

Treyson Hughes makes an impressive grab to get an out on the board for the Rebels, but the Gamecocks put a runner on first and he immediately steals second base. Saunier retires his second runner of the day to put two outs on the board, but South Carolina squeaks a single past Brayden Randle to score its runner at second base, and it is now South Carolina 3, Ole Miss 0.

The inning ends with a fly out to Treyson Hughes, but the Gamecocks have taken the lead.

MID 2: South Carolina 3, Ole Miss 0

Luke Hill gets the frame started with a fly out to right field, but Will Furniss gets on base with his first walk of the day. Brayden Randle reaches first with a walk, and the Rebels have runners in scoring position once again. Eli Berch flies out, but Ethan Groff loads the bases with a walk of his own. Andrew Fischer is now up to bat with two outs for Ole Miss.

South Carolina brings in a new arm to face Fischer, and the Gamecocks are able to get out of the inning with a fielder's choice to third base.

THIRD INNING 

South Carolina starts the third with a groundout to Luke Hill, but Saunier walks his first batter of the afternoon to put a runner on base for the Gamecocks. A bloop into center field puts runners at first and second for South Carolina, and Mike Bianco takes a trip to the mound.

Ethan Groff grabs the second out of the frame, but South Carolina is able to advance a runner to third base. Treyson Hughes ends the inning after snagging a flyout in right field.

MID 3: South Carolina 3, Ole Miss 0

Jackson Ross reaches first after drawing a walk, and Ethan Lege follows up with a pop up to the short stop. Treyson Hughes strikes out swinging, and Luke Hill grounds out to second base to end the Ole Miss scoring threat.

FOURTH INNING 

Saunier grabs an out at first base to start the frame, and Luke Hill catches a pop up to out two outs on the board. A fly out to center field ends the frame for South Carolina, and the Rebels will now look to get some runs on the board.

Bo Gatlin pinch hits for Will Furniss and immediately flies out to left field. Eli Berch hits a groundout, and the inning ends with a Brayden Randle strikeout.

FIFTH INNING 

The Gamecocks' leadoff man reaches first base with a single into center field, and another single puts a runner in scoring position for South Carolina. Saunier gets one runner out on a bunt, but the Gamecocks advance both runners to second and third base. A double into left field scores two for the Gamecocks, and it is now South Carolina 5, Ole Miss 0.

Freshman LHP Austin Simmons replaces Grayson Saunier with one out in the top of the fifth.

The Gamecocks fly out to center field, but their runner at second base is able to advance to third. An error at first base allows a runner to score with two outs, and it is now South Carolina 6, Ole Miss 0.

South Carolina's runner was caught stealing after an official review, ending the frame.

Ethan Groff starts the bottom of the fifth with a fly out, and Andrew Fischer flies out to center field to follow up. Jackson Ross grounds out to end the frame, and the Rebels have not found any momentum or rhythm at the plate this afternoon.

Austin Simmons walks his first batter of the game to start the sixth inning, and Mike Bianco ends his day after 0.2 innings of work. Senior RHP Mitch Murrell takes over on the mound for Ole Miss.

Another Gamecock gets caught trying to steal second, and a fly out puts two outs on the board. Murrell fans his first batter of the day to end the frame.

Ethan Lege reaches first base after ripping a single into left field on the first pitch. Treyson Hughes gets the Rebels on the board with a triple down the right-field line to score Lege, and it is now South Carolina 6, Ole Miss 1.

A Luke Hill groundout scores Hughes, and it is now South Carolina 6, Ole Miss 2.

Bo Gatlin strikes out, however, and a groundout from Eli Berch ends the inning.

Mitch Murrell walks his first batter of the afternoon to start the seventh inning, and a wild pitch advances said batter to second base. A single to short puts another runner at first for South Carolina. 

Kyler Carmack replaces Murrell on the mound with one out and runners on first and second for South Carolina. A dazzling double play from second to first quickly ends the frame for the Gamecocks.

Reagan Burford pinch hits for Brayden Randle, and Ole Miss' team captain strikes out looking. Ethan Groff flies out to left field, but Andrew Fischer rips a single into right field to get on base with two outs. Jackson Ross flies out to center field to end the inning.

EIGHTH INNING

Kyler Carmack starts the eighth with a strikeout and his next batter flies out to center field. A Gamecock is able to reach first, however, and a balk advances him to second. Another strikeout from Carmack gets the Rebels out of the frame.

Ethan Lege starts the frame with a fly out to the short stop. Treyson Hughes gets walked, but Luke Hill fouls out, and Bo Gatlin strikes out to end the inning.

Two groundouts from South Carolina get things going in the top of the ninth. Carmack walks two batters, however, to put runners on first and second for South Carolina. South Carolina strikes out swinging to end the frame.
