Wednesday marks National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and the Ole Miss Rebels celebrated accordingly with posts on social media highlighting the importance of women in athletics, including fans, coaches and players.

Ole Miss has shared a number of social media posts on Wednesday to mark the holiday, but it kicked things off at 9 a.m. CT with a video featuring some of the Rebels' athletes on campus who wrote "A Letter to My Younger Self."

You can view the post below, one that features an almost-four-minute video.

Delaney Rummell (softball), Zakiya Stephenson (basketball), Kristen Derting (rifle) and Julia Dyess (volleyball) all spoke to their younger selves to highlight the importance of their journey in women's athletics, including adversities that have made this success at Ole Miss even more enjoyable.

The day's celebration continued with posts from the tennis and golf programs, and it will be capped off with an appearance by women's basketball coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin on "Reb Talk" on the Oxford Square.

"Reb Talk" is hosted each week by the radio voice of the Rebels, David Kellum, and it broadcasts live from Boure, a restaurant that highlights the area's historic landscape. Tonight's edition of the show is set to begin at 6 p.m. CT and can be streamed on the Ole Miss Athletics App.
