The Ole Miss Rebels and coach Chris Beard have done it again.

The Rebels landed another 2023 transfer commitment on Tuesday, as it was announced that former Auburn Tigers guard Allen Flanigan has chosen Ole Miss as his next destination, per reports from On3.

Allen's father, Wes, just recently joined Beard's coaching staff as an assistant after spending the past five years at Auburn while coaching his son.

Flanigan is now the fifth transfer commit for the Rebels this offseason and the first one to be plucked from a SEC foe. Ole Miss has already landed the likes of Oklahoma State's Moussa Cisse, Georgetown's Brandon Murray, Arizona State's Austin Nunez and Western Kentucky's Jamarion Sharp.

In Flanigan, the Rebels are adding an experienced player who has played the last four years at Auburn. Possessing solid length and height for a guard at 6-6, 220, he proved to be a reliable scoring option this past season, averaging 10.1 points, five rebounds and 1.5 assists as a senior. He reached the double-digit scoring mark in 10 of his final 14 games, which included a 22-point effort on 8 of 10 shooting in a 94-73 win over Georgia on Feb. 1.

Flanigan now joins a backcourt that already features the likes of Nunez and Murray along with the return of Matthew Murrell, who led the team in scoring last season (14.4).

With all the new additions in Oxford, the expectations are certainly rising for a team that will now be projected to reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019.
