Ole Miss Basketball Bludgeoned by Auburn, Remains Winless in Road SEC Games
The No. 22 Ole Miss Rebels were demolished by the No. 13 Auburn Tigers on Saturday night at Neville Arena, falling 82-59 and remaining winless on the road in Southeastern Conference play.
Saturday's game became uncompetitive early as the Rebels (15-3, 2-3 SEC) committed six turnovers in the first eight minutes of play, and they trailed 46-27 at halftime. Forward Moussa Cisse led Ole Miss at the intermission with six points, and red-hot guard Matthew Murrell was held in check with just two.
By the night's end, Ole Miss had a shooting percentages of 38.2 and 23.5 from three, compared to marks of 58.2 and 44.4 by Auburn, respectively. Allen Flanigan led the Rebels in scoring at the final buzzer with 10 points, and he was the only Ole Miss player to reach double digits.

The loss secured a winless mark on the week for Ole Miss, and it also brought an 0-3 record in road SEC games thus far in the 2023-24 season. The Rebels will now return home in preparation for a nationally-televised date against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday in Oxford.
Tip-off at the SJB Pavilion on Jan. 24 is set for 8 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on ESPNU.
