LIVE UPDATES: Ole Miss Returns Home to Welcome Arkansas to SJB Pavilion
OXFORD, Miss. -- It has been tough sledding for the Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team since SEC play started in January. The Rebels (15-3, 2-3 SEC) have dropped their last two conference matchups on the road, and have cooled off after finishing their non-conference schedule undefeated.
Fortunately, it is still January, and Chris Beard's squad can spark a turnaround with a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday night in the friendly confines of the Sandy and John Black Pavilion. The Razorbacks (10-8, 1-4 SEC) are also in need of a conference victory, as they lost their first three SEC matchups to start the new year.
Entering Wednesday's matchup, the Rebels are averaging 76.7 points per game, while the Razorbacks are averaging 77.6 ppg. Matthew Murrell leads Ole Miss in scoring with an average of 16.9 ppg.
