Overtime Elite PG Mikel Brown Jr. Visiting Ole Miss, Attending Game at SJB Pavilion
Chris Beard and the Ole Miss Rebels still have work to do this season, but it's never too early to prepare for the future.
To that end, Overtime Elite (Ga.) point guard Mikel Brown Jr. is on campus at Ole Miss on Tuesday, per reports from On3, and he plans to attend tonight's game between the Rebels and in-state rival Mississippi State at the SJB Pavilion.
According to On3's recruiting database, Brown is a four-star prospect and the No. 14 overall player in the 2025 class. He is a native of Orlando, Fla., and he holds offers from multiple Division I programs across the country.
Outside of Ole Miss, Brown is also being courted by the likes of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Providence Friars, Florida Gators, and Texas Longhorns. This season, he is averaging 12.8 points per game and 5.2 assists per game in the league focused on players ages 16-20.
He visited Alabama on Jan. 18 of this year prior to his trip to Oxford.

Prior to his visit, Brown spoke with 247Sports about his interest in Ole Miss and what he was most looking forward to when he arrived on campus this week.
“I’m looking forward to building a relationship the coaching staff," Brown said. "I’ve had good talks with them and have a good relationship with the staff. I’m going to look at the campus when I’m there to see how it is and build with them.”
Rebels head coach Chris Beard has placed an emphasis on recruiting at his previous career stops, hauling in the No. 14 overall class with the Texas Longhorns in 2022. Ole Miss currently has one commitment in the 2025 class from shooting guard Patton Pinkins out of Frenship (Wolfforth, Texas).
