Sacramento Kings Post Highlight Reel of Former Rebel Terence Davis

Former Ole Miss Rebel Terence Davis was a key part of Sacramento's historic season.

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Sacramento Kings ended the longest active playoff drought in North American professional sports last month when they were named the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference of the 2023 NBA Playoffs, but they would not have made it to the postseason without the help of former Ole Miss Rebel Terence Davis.

Davis, a five-year NBA veteran, spent the majority of the 2022-23 season coming off the bench but quietly found a nice role with Sacramento's second unit. The former Rebel played in a career-high 64 games this season, improved his three-point percentage from 32.9 percent to 36.6, and made multiple clutch plays on defense. Davis was acquired by the Kings in 2021 from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a second-round pick in that year's NBA Draft and would sign a two-year contract extension with Sacramento later that year.

While he did not lead Sacramento in any major stats, Davis made big-time plays on the court this season. The Kings decided to show the Southhaven, Miss., native some love on Thursday and posted a highlight reel of his top 10 plays from the 2022-23 season.

Davis entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2019 before joining the Denver Nuggets for the NBA Summer League. The shooting guard then got the attention of Toronto, who signed him to a two-year deal ahead of the 2019-20 regular season. Davis now enters the 2023 NBA offseason as an unrestricted free agent, and will likely be looking for a new home due to his offensive role decreasing this season after Sacramento added guards Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter to its rotation.
