Rebels Women's Basketball Trounces Kentucky in Lexington
Ole Miss Rebels women's basketball extended its winning streak to five games on Thursday night, taking down the Kentucky Wildcats 75-45 at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
The Rebels jumped out to an early 20-7 lead in the first quarter, and they never looked back, outscoring the Wildcats in every frame. Ole Miss' lead had grown to 37-22 by halftime, and Kentucky was bested 38-23 in the second half en route to the blowout final score.
Forward Madison Scott led Ole Miss in scoring with 16 points, and she was joined in double digits by Marquesha Davis and Kennedy Todd-Williams with 11 points apiece.
Ole Miss shot 45.8 percent from the field on Thursday and 28.6 percent from three. Kentucky, by comparison, shot 29.3 and 25 percent in those categories, respectively.
With the win, the Rebels improve to 21-7 overall on the year and 11-4 in SEC play, finishing the month of February with six wins and two losses. Ole Miss will play host to the Arkansas Razorbacks on Sunday in the regular season finale, and the Hogs are facing the No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks on Thursday night.

That game between the Rebels and Razorbacks will be followed by a trip to the SEC Tournament in Greenville, S.C. on March 6-10. Tip-off against Arkansas on Sunday is set for 3 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on SEC Network.
