ATHENS, Ga. -- The Ole Miss Rebels picked up their second conference win of the season on Tuesday night, knocking off the Georgia Bulldogs 78-74 on the road.

The Rebels held a 35-34 advantage at halftime, and they managed to outscore the Bulldogs in the second half by a narrow margin to secure the win. Jaemyn Brakefield led Ole Miss in scoring with 24 points, and Myles Burns followed with 20. Matthew Murrell also reached double digits with 14.

As a team, the Rebels shot 42.6 percent from the field and 17.4 percent from three. Georgia, by comparison, shot 45.6 percent from the field and 18.8 percent from beyond the arc.

With the win, Ole Miss improves to 10-14 on the year and 2-9 in conference play, still a far cry from a mark of .500. Still, both of the Rebels' conference wins have now come on the road, one at South Carolina and Tuesday night's at Georgia.

Ole Miss will next take the floor on Saturday when it plays host to the same Gamecocks who it knocked off earlier this season. Tip-off is set for noon at the SJB Pavilion, and the game will be televised on SEC Network.
