BREAKING: Ole Miss Rebels QB Jaxson Dart Returning For Senior Season
Ole Miss Rebels fans got some exciting news on Thursday night, with Lane Kiffin announcing that his starting quarterback, Jaxson Dart, will be returning for his senior season in 2024.
The announcement came during his weekly appearance on the RebTalk with David Kellum. He also joked that J.J. Pegues will follow suit and return for his senior season as well.
"I guess that I can kind of speak for him," Kiffin said of Dart. "He's said he's coming back. So we're planning on him being back next year, getting better, and I'm sure when you have him up here J.J. (Pegues) will announce he's coming back too."
Dart, who has led Ole Miss to one of its best regular seasons in school history, currently has the Rebels sitting at 8-2, and is completing a career-best 65.1 percent of his passes for 2,579 yards and 16 touchdowns with just five interceptions.
He has also rushed 86 times for 354 yards and seven more touchdowns, giving him 23 total on the season.
Dart has substantially improved his production from a year ago, in which he completed 61 percent of his passes, for 2,971 yards and 20 touchdowns through 13 games... nearly eclipsing all of those numbers through just 10 games in 2023.

"He's fine," Kiffin said. "So, he'll play."
The Rebels and Warhawks kick off at 11 am CT.
