News broke on Thursday morning that Ole Miss Rebels running back Quinshon Judkins was entering the transfer portal, and the offensive playmaker confirmed those reports himself later in the day.

Judkins posted a farewell message to Ole Miss on his X account on Thursday, stating that he is "grateful" for his time in Oxford. You can view his post here.

"I have loved my time here at Ole Miss and am grateful for the opportunity to grow as a football player and person within this program," Judkins said.

His post continued with a thank you to the fans, teammates and coaching staff at Ole Miss, and he signed off asking for respect for his decision.

"I hope you understand and respect my choice," Judkins said. "Love you all and wish nothing but success."

Judkins became the first SEC player since Herschel Walker with 15-plus touchdowns in each of his first two collegiate seasons in 2023, and he led the SEC in rushing touchdowns the last two years.

In the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Judkins accumulated 2,725 rushing yards and 34 total touchdowns. This marks the first significant departure from the Ole Miss offense after getting to the 11-win mark this season. The Rebels are returning notable names such as quarterback Jaxson Dart, wide receivers Tre Harris and Jordan Watkins, and tight end Caden Prieskorn.

REPORT: Quinshon Judkins Enters Transfer Portal

Along with seeking offensive line help in the next transfer portal cycle, the Rebels may also now be looking for a boost to their running back room, unless they elect to go with the names currently on the roster to shoulder Judkins' now-vacated load.
