'It's Surreal!' Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn Relish in Opportunity to Play in Peach Bowl

Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver Tre Harris and tight end Caden Prieskorn are concluding their first season with the program in a New Year's Six bowl game.

The No. 11 Ole Miss Rebels are preparing to conclude their 2023 season in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl this Saturday against the No. 10 Penn State Nittany Lions. For some players on the roster, this level of game is an entirely new experience.

Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris (Louisiana Tech) and tight end Caden Prieskorn (Memphis) both transferred in from Group of Five programs last offseason, and the opportunity to play in a New Year's Six bowl game feels like the stuff of legend for these two pass-catchers.

"It's surreal," Harris said. "Exactly what you said, we grew up watching games like this, and to finally be a part of it, it's huge honor to be part of a game like this. It's a dream come true. We all want to go out there and play in the big games, and to be able to do that is huge for me, especially for me and my career and everyone else on this team."

"Absolutely," Prieskorn added. "Probably the biggest game of my career. New Year's Six bowl on one of the biggest stages of college football. Just how I came up as a walk-on and all that, just to play in one of these games is surreal."

Both Harris and Prieskorn made huge impacts for the Rebels on offense this season despite not being healthy for its entirety. Harris suited up in 11 regular season games, hauling in 47 catches for 851 yards and eight scores.

Prieskorn, by comparison, did not see the field until the game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, but he still finished the regular season with 20 catches for 313 yards and two scores.

The Rebels will look to top off their first-ever 11-win season on Saturday, and kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT. The game will be televised on ESPN.
