Lane Kiffin Continues Twitter Trolling With Comical Response to News Reporter
John Sokoloff, a reporter for WCBI News in Starkville, Mississippi, has a lasting impression on Lane Kiffin, and it's not a good one. It appears today he made a valiant effort to get back on Kiffin’s good side, but was evidently shut down.
“Jon trying to jump on Ole Miss bus now. No thanks. #Stateguy”
Sokoloff tweeted something nice about the Ole Miss Rebels (Jaxson Dart, actually) today, and Kiffin was not having it. This isn't the first time that Kiffin has gone after Sokoloff, either, targeting the reporter during a press conference last spring.
“I appreciate Jon for all that chaos that he created with false information,” Kiffin told reporters in April. “But that allowed us to work through [an obstacle] and … help our [NIL] collective. So really our fans and our collective should thank Jon for that.”
During the end of Kiffin’s contract with Ole Miss last year, Sokoloff reported that Kiffin was moving over to the Auburn Tigers.
“Lane to Auburn is happening” Sokoloff reported.
Following Lane’s contract extension with Ole Miss, the notorious Twitter troll was quick to respond to Sokoloff's acquisitions.
“Do your job right and professional @JonSokoloff”
When it comes to the hand of social media, Kiffin has now proven that he will respond, even long after the supposed drama has passed. Sokoloff has now found himself on the receiving end of another Kiffin callout that has Ole Miss fans defending their head coach to the core, even with a large game against the Alabama Crimson Tide looming on the horizon.
