Lane Kiffin Issues Humorous Response to Nick Saban’s Press Conference Apology

Nick Saban delivered an apology to a reporter during yesterday’s press conference, and Lane Kiffin did not hesitate to share his thoughts on X.
In this story:

During an Alabama press conference yesterday, head coach Nick Saban apologized to Bama Central reporter Austin Hannon. Arguably the greatest college football coach of all time has a reputation for being unapologetic, and even Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin was floored. With no surprise, Kiffin took this to X, formerly known as Twitter, asking if coach was feeling alright.

"You feeling ok Coach??? @AlabamaFTBL”

Hannon asked Saban if Jalen Milroe's performance vs. Middle Tennessee would provide a boost of confidence going forward for the sophomore.

Saban fired back with a prop and said, "This is a coke bottle, it's not a crystal ball."

In yesterday’s presser, Saban took the time to apologize and detailed an answer he said he should have given the reporter the first time.

The 26th year head coach is notorious for being hard on reporters, so it almost seems foreign to see this apology. In a recent analysis of Saban's press conferences, reporter Matt Stahl featured that he has been showing more positive emotion in press conferences.

"Saban has spent 3.42% of his total preseason press conference time smiling in 2023. That's more than double the percentage of any year from 2017 onwards."

With infamous Twitter fingers, Kiffin responded to the apology. Clearly, he is nudging his former coaching associate, but did we expect anything less from one of the most entertaining coaches in college football?
