The Rebels received some good injury news on Monday in preparation for Alabama.

OXFORD, Miss. -- The No. 15 Ole Miss Rebels are preparing to head to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to face the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide this week, and they may have a couple of key pieces returning on offense from injury.

While nothing is set-in-stone, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin noted that wide receiver Tre Harris and tight end Caden Prieskorn both participated in practice on Monday, a welcome development for a Rebels pass-catching corps that has been depleted in recent weeks.

"Good start to the week," Kiffin said. "I think guys that understand the magnitude of this game understand we made a lot of mistakes last week. A lot of things we need to improve on going into an extremely hard place to play against an ultra-talented football team.

"It's good we looked a little (healthier) out there today. Good to see Tre and Prieskorn out there. I'm sure Jaxson (Dart) feels good about that."

Dart has not had the opportunity to connect with Prieskorn yet in game action, but he and Tre Harris seemed to share a special bond through the first two weeks of the season before the receiver was injured against the Tulane Green Wave. Harris has hauled in five touchdown passes from Dart in just over four quarters of play.

This duo may not be ready to take the field by the time Saturday rolls around, but a return to practice means that they are on a positive trajectory when it comes to returning to gameplay.

Ole Miss and Alabama are set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, and the game will be televised on CBS.
