Laura Rutledge Reveals Favorite Tailgating Location in the SEC
The Ole Miss Rebels have long been famous for their tailgating atmosphere at The Grove, and it gained more recognition this week from SEC Network analyst Laura Rutledge.
Rutledge recently sat down with The Spun and discussed numerous aspects of life in the Southeastern Conference. When asked for her favorite tailgating sites in the conference, Ole Miss was at the top of the list.
"It’s like picking between children when it comes to picking my most memorable tailgate experience (laughs). I do truly love all of them. But a few really stick out to me. Certainly Ole Miss - the grove at Oxford. You have the chandelier at the tailgate and just fabulousness across the board. It truly is just a party from beginning to end and sometimes well into the night with the celebration of college football.
"I would say Texas A&M is another one, especially for an earlier game. If you have an 11 a.m. kick, they’re sometimes doing breakfast tacos… it’s a really unique tailgate experience from what we normally have in the South.
"And then I’ve got to put Florida in there - being a Florida Gator - it’s just so nostalgic for me just going back to the Swamp and enjoying the tailgate."

The Rebels will return to tailgating at The Grove this Saturday when they play host to the Mercer Bears to begin the 2023 season. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
