LOOK: Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart Somehow Gets Parking Ticket at Rebels Football Facility
OXFORD, Miss. -- Hot topics on college campuses often revolve around social events, but on Thursday, parking tickets were added to that list at Ole Miss.
Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart parked near the Ole Miss football practice facility on Thursday, a seemingly-natural place for a football player to be during spring practice. Dart, however, was met with a parking ticket when he returned to his vehicle, and he went on to share his frustration on his Instagram story on Thursday.
"Alright bro...if y'all don't want us parking places (our own facilities), then make more parking," Dart said in his post. "Can't even park by our coaches' offices for meetings."
The quarterback tagged the official university Instagram account in his post as well.
One cannot be certain of where exactly Dart parked to receive his ticket. Perhaps he fell victim to the current renovations of the Manning Center on campus and was unable to find a "legal" parking spot.
Still, he is certainly frustrated with the parking and transportation department on the Ole Miss campus and feels that some changes need to be made to make parking more convenient, not just for himself, but his fellow students.
Dart's current focus is probably not on his parking ticket, but on ensuring that he keeps that starting role he secured a season ago for the Rebels. For now, he has to compete with transfer quarterbacks Spencer Sanders and Walker Howard to make that a reality.
If Thursday's parking ticket is any indication, Dart may have a few more steps to take to get to those practices moving forward.
