2024 Three-Star Safety Andy Jaffe Flips Commitment From Wake Forest to Ole Miss
OXFORD, Miss. -- 2024 three-star safety Andy Jaffe announced via social media on Friday that he has committed to the Ole Miss Rebels. Jaffe had been committed to Wake Forest since January. The Rebels are now up to 14 total commitments for their 2024 recruitment class.
According to On3's recruitment database, Jaffe is rated as the No. 162 recruit in the state of Florida and the No. 101 safety prospect in the 2024 cycle. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety is listed as the No. 1212 overall prospect in 2024.
Jaffe announced on Thursday that he is no longer committed to Wake Forest.
"After much thought and consideration, I have decided that I am no longer committed to Wake Forest. This was a very difficult decision, but one I felt was in my best interests." -- Jaffe via Twitter
Jaffe chose Ole Miss over Wake Forest, the Duke Blue Devils, Maryland Terrapins, Pittsburgh Panthers, Boston College Eagles, Arkansas State Red Wolves, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Bowling Green Falcons, and USF Bulls. The Clearwater, Fla., native previously visited the Rebels on June 9 which likely played a factor in his decision to flip to Ole Miss.
Jaffe is Ole Miss' second safety commitment of the 2024 cycle, joining four-star prospect Travaris Banks who pledged to the Rebels last Sunday. Ole Miss has now received a total of four defensive back commits for the 2024 cycle.
Jaffe plans on playing his senior year of high school football with Clearwater Central Catholic High School.
