Ole Miss Analyst Da'Von Brown Expected to Join Western Kentucky as Defensive Backs Coach

Ole Miss is reportedly losing one of its analysts to Western Kentucky.

OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Rebels analyst Da'Von Brown is expected to be hired by the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers to be their new defensive backs coach, according to On3 Sports.

Brown is so highly regarded by Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss staff that he received recognition for the Rebels' cornerbacks coach opening. The position, however, was recently filled by the man he is now expected to replace at Western Kentucky, Keynodo Hudson.

Brown is a former FAU safety who played for Kiffin when he was the coach of the Owls from 2017-2019 and has spent the last two seasons working under him at Ole Miss.

The 25-year-old will be one of the youngest FBS assistant coaches in the country.

In three seasons with the Owls, Brown recorded 114 total tackles, six pass breakups, and one forced fumble. As a senior in 2019, Brown recorded the third-most tackles on the team with 76 while helping FAU finish the year with an 11-3 record.

The Rebels have seen a fair amount of staff changes since the team finished the 2022 season with an 8-5 record. Kiffin has since brought in four new assistants, including former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive coordinator, Pete Golding.
