LIVE UPDATES: Auburn Tigers Host No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels

The No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels begin the second half of their regular season on Saturday with a road matchup versus the Auburn Tigers. 

Ole Miss is favored by 6.5 points entering its showdown on The Plains, and, on paper, has the better roster, but history says that the Rebels should stay on their toes against Auburn. Historically, the Rebels have had a difficult time winning in Jordan-Hare Stadium and have not beaten the Tigers in back-to-back seasons since 1951-52. 

The last time Ole Miss won on the road versus Auburn was in 2015 when current Tigers coach Hugh Freeze was leading the Rebels. 

As mentioned above, however, Ole Miss is the better team in this game and is also rested coming off a bye week. Jordan-Hare at night is always an intense atmosphere, but if the Rebels execute properly, they will secure their third-straight SEC victory.

The Rebels and Tigers are scheduled to kick off at 6:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, and the game will be televised on ESPN.

Pregame

At receiver, Jordan Watkins' status had been up in the air since he reportedly suffered a hand injury during the bye week, but Lane Kiffin stated on Monday that he "anticipates" the wideout playing versus Auburn.

The captains for Ole Miss' Week 8 matchup are defensive linemen JJ Pegues and Cedric Johnson, as well as receiver Tre Harris. Pegues, a senior out of Oxford, Miss., spent his first two seasons with the Tigers and will make his return to Jordan-Hare on Saturday.

First Quarter: Ole Miss 14, Auburn 7

Q1(15:00): The Tigers won the toss and will receive the first kick.

Q1(11:08): Auburn goes for it on fourth down and the Ole Miss defense holds thanks to a big tackle from Khari Coleman. The Rebels take over at Auburn's 48-yard line.

Q1(4:55): Ole Miss receiver Zakhari Franklin grabs his first touchdown in an Ole Miss uniform and the Rebels are up early versus Auburn.

Q1(3:00): Auburn answers with a 53-yard rushing touchdown from Jaquez Hunter.

Q1(0:24): Ole Miss goes for it on fourth down again and Jaxson Dart runs into the endzone on a 30-yard keeper.

End of First Quarter -- Ole Miss 14, Auburn 7

Second Quarter: Ole Miss 14, Auburn 14

Q2(14:27): Auburn punts for the first time today, and the Rebels will begin their drive at their own 31-yard line.

Q2(13:26): Dart throws his third interception of the season and the Tigers take it all the way to Ole Miss' 24-yard line.

Q2(11:44): Auburn scores following the Ole Miss turnover on a one-yard rushing touchdown from Hunter.

Ole Miss 14, Auburn 14

Q2(10:50): Ole Miss goes three and out and punts the ball back to Auburn. The Tigers will take over at their own 18-yard line.

Q2(8:46): Auburn punts the ball right back to Ole Miss, and the Rebels will start their drive at their own 33-yard line.

Q2(4:17): Ole Miss has to settle for a field goal, but botches the snap, and the game remains tied.

Q2(2:30): Ole Miss makes a big stand on defense and forces Auburn to punt. The punt gets muffed, but the Rebels were able to recover at their own 38-yard line.

Q2(1:06): The Rebels are forced to punt after a couple of sacks, and the Tigers will take over at their own 48-yard line.

Q2(0:48): Ole Miss defensive back John Saunders Jr. picks off Auburn quarterback Robby Ashford and the Rebels will start their drive at their 18-yard line.

End of First Half -- Ole Miss 14, Auburn 14

Third Quarter: Ole Miss 21, Auburn 14

Q3(12:20): Ole Miss goes for it on fourth down and cannot convert. Auburn will take over at its own 35-yard line.

Q3(12:03): The Rebels stand tough on defense and will start their drive at their own 20-yard line.

Q3(10:52): Ole Miss is forced to punt again and the Tigers will begin their drive at the Rebels' 44-yard line.

Q3(7:22): Auburn punts it right back to Ole Miss, and the Rebels will take over at their own 10-yard line.

Q3(5:23): The Rebels go three and out with their backs against the endzone, and the Tigers will start their drive at midfield. 

Q3(2:32): Ole Miss' defense has been lockdown to start the second half as Auburn gets held to another punt. 

Q3(0:00): Ole Miss finds the endzone for the first time of the half on a one-yard rushing touchdown from Dart.

Q4(12:59): The Rebels make another stand on defense and will start their drive at their own 32-yard line.

Q4(7:51): Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins gets into the endzone on a four-yard rushing touchdown, and the Rebels extend their lead.

Q4(5:00): Ole Miss cornerback Zamari Walton picks off Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne, and the Rebels will take over at their own 20-yard line.

Q4(0:56): Auburn scores late on an eight-yard touchdown pass and the Rebels are up one score.
