Sandra Bullock 'Heartbroken' by Michael Oher 'Blind Side' Controversy

Sandra Bullock was once synonymous with one of the greatest stories in modern American sports. Now, that story, and her life, are tainted.

Sandra Bullock was once synonymous with one of the greatest stories in modern American sports - The Blind Side - a story about the life and football journey of former Ole Miss Rebels Star Michael Oher.

It is a story all Rebels fans are very familiar with. Now, that story, and her life, are tainted, and Bullock herself is 'heartbroken'.

Not just because of the news of Oher, but also due to the loss of her partner, Bryan Randall after a three-year battle with ALS.

"Sandra is putting up a strong face and a strong front as it has been a rough patch for her emotionally with the loss of Bryan, and now she is heartbroken in a different way with all the fallout from the Michael Oher news."

Bullock won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role as Leanne Toohey in 2010, which was a, if not the, defining moment in her career.

But unfortunately for Bullock, that role will now likely be seen in a completely different, and extremely negative context.

"She hates that such a wonderful story, a spectacular movie, and a spectacular time in her life now has been tainted," the source told the Daily Mail. "Now people won't watch it and if they do, they will have a completely different reaction to its original intention."

'There was so much hard work put into the film that they all thought was the truth and now that has been questioned, it just upsets Sandra to no end that a time in her life that was so special, is now shadowed with a completely different perspective.'

Hopefully, for Bullock's sake, movie fans will be able to look past the controversy and appreciate the role and the movie for its powerful message.

Which despite the news, still delivers an inspiring story.
