Ole Miss Receiver Bralon Brown Withdraws Name From NCAA Transfer Portal

Transfer receiver Bralon Brown has decided to return to the Ole Miss Rebels.

OXFORD, Miss. -- Former 4-star receiver Bralon Brown reportedly withdrew his name from the NCAA Transfer Portal on Tuesday and will return to the Ole Miss Rebels after deciding to enter the portal in December, according to On3Sports.

The Miramar, Fla., native was a member of Ole Miss' 2021 singing class and was rated as the No. 34 receiver and No. 201 prospect coming out of high school that year.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound wideout appeared in six games as a freshman, primarily on special teams, and four games in his sophomore season at receiver before he was redshirted.

Brown has hauled in one career reception for 11 yards while at Ole Miss. His lone catch came against the Central Arkansas Bears during Week 2 of the 2022 season.

Brown chose to return to a crowded Ole Miss receiver room on the first day of spring practice that looks to be a competitive, scrappy group. Led by returning seniors Jordan Watkins and Dayton Wade, Ole Miss' receiving corps also got a boost from transfers Chris Marshall and Tre Harris.

Brown and the other receivers will all get a chance to catch passes from the three talented quarterbacks who are competing for the starting position this spring.

Returning quarterback Jaxson Dart is looking to hold onto his role as Ole Miss' starter, but will have to contend with transfer quarterbacks Spencer Sanders and Walker Howard.
