Caden Prieskorn Among Top Returning Tight Ends in College Football
OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin hit a home run getting former Memphis Tigers tight end Caden Prieskorn from the NCAA Transfer Portal in January.
Pro Football Focus recently released its rankings for the Top 10 returning tight ends in college football and Prieskorn made the cut, coming in at No. 9 on the list.
Here is PFF's evaluation of Ole Miss' newest tight end.
9. CADEN PRIESKORN, OLE MISS REBELS
Prieskorn was a John Mackey Award semifinalist this past season at
Memphis
. The redshirt junior tied for fourth among all tight ends in the country with 340 yards after the catch. Among those with at least 50 targets, his 133.7 passer rating when targeted trailed only Brock Bowers.
He’ll test his talents in the SEC next season with Ole Miss.
Prieskorn had a monster year in 2022, setting career highs in receptions (48), receiving yards (602), and receiving touchdowns (7), becoming Memphis' No. 2 receiving option.
Injuries at tight end down the stretch of the regular season posited just how important the position is in Kiffin's offense, and the Portal King made sure to address the depth issues early this offseason.
