Three-Star 2024 OT John Wayne Oliver Has Ole Miss In Top 3
The Ole Miss Rebels have been hot on the recruiting trail recently, landing in an offensive lineman's top three Sunday.
Class of 2024 three-star offensive tackle John Wayne Oliver announced on Twitter that the Ole Miss Rebels are in his top three schools. The Nashville, Tenn., native also had the Auburn Tigers and TCU Horned Frogs among his top options.
“I’ve got a good relationship with the staff at Ole Miss," Oliver told On3. "It’s a close SEC school as well that’s pretty good. They’re constantly in the top 25 and I know a couple of players who are already on the team and recruits who are trying to get me to join them there.”
Oliver received an offer from Ole Miss March 15 and will take an official visit to Oxford Friday.
The Christ Presbyterian Academy product is the No. 75 offensive tackle and the No. 33 player in Tennessee in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports.
Oliver is 6-5 and 275 pounds and was a part of a Lions offensive line unit that ran for 1,906 yards, 5.2 yards per carry and 28 rushing touchdowns in 2022, according to CPA's MaxPreps.
Since Friday, Ole Miss has landed commitments from transfer wide receiver Zakhari Franklin, class of 2024 interior offensive lineman Joseph Cryer and 2025 quarterback Quentin Murphy.
