Class of 2024 four-star quarterback Demond Williams told On3's Hayes Fawcett he decommitted from the Ole Miss Rebels Friday.

Williams was the Rebels' lone quarterback commitment in the class of 2024, having announced his commitment Dec. 30, 2022. The Chandler, AZ. native announced that Ole Miss is still one of his "top choices," Williams said in a statement to On3.

“First I would like to thank Coach (Lane) Kiffin, Coach (Charlie) Weis, and all of the Ole Miss staff that has believed in my abilities and been there for me since day 1," Williams said in a statement to On3. "I will forever appreciate the consistent love from the fanbase and community of Oxford. After careful consideration and talks with my family and God, it is in my best interest to take a step back and decommit from the University of Mississippi and re-open my recruitment."

Williams, the No. 16 quarterback and the No. 5 player in Arizona, participated in the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles a few weeks ago.

When he committed, he had other interests from Arkansas, Washington, UCLA, and Arizona.

The Ole Miss Rebels' class of 2024 team ranking according to On3 continues their slide in the ranks, now sitting at No. 28.
